We are studying the Layers of the Earth, Plate Tectonics and the Rock Cycle. We have a Campus Checkpoint on these topics on Wednesday April 15, during class time.
This week we are reviewing for our Campus Checkpoint #4.
This test will cover everything we have covered on Physical and Chemical reactions and Mineral Identification. This week is district testing week. We will review everything we have covered since the beginning of the year. Our Science District Checkpoint is Tuesday afternoon. Test results will come home by the end of the week. I know all of our students will "ROCK THAT TEST"
![]() This week will be all about the Periodic Table. We will be discussing how we use element on an everyday basis in the products we use. We will learn the arrangement and categories of the Periodic Table. By the end of this week your student will be able to read the Periodic table forwards and backwards. EXTRA CREDIT OPPURTUNITY!!!!! I have told students that if they can memorize Tom Lehrer's "The Elements" seen below I will give them extra credit points. This must be done on their own time and presented to me by the end of the 9 week period. Oct 17th. Let's see who is up for the challenge.
Moving out of cells and into Taxonomy. We will be discussing how organisms are grouped based on their characteristics.
This week we are continuing our study of Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic Cells. WE have been able to use the iPads to do research
This week in science is all about cells. We have learned about the difference in Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells and their characteristics. This week we have also set up our Science Journal on-line using the Notability App.
